About Dr. Harris

Dr. Wendy Harris, a Fairfield County native, received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and then graduated from University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. With a focus on equine medicine during veterinary school, she developed an interest in Chinese Medicine. This treatment modality was gaining a significant following among horse owners as an excellent adjunct to current drug therapies. Shortly after graduation from U.C. Davis, Dr. Harris began her acupuncture training at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida where she received her certification in Veterinary Acupuncture. She then continued her training in Chinese Herbal Medicine, completing these courses in 2006. 

Dr. Harris is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncturists, and the Fairfield County Veterinary Medical Association. 

Utilizing acupuncture, herbs, food therapy, and some massage techniques, Dr. Harris works with pet owners and their veterinarians to improve and maintain the best possible quality of life for their beloved pets. 

Dr. Harris lives in Weston, Connecticut with her two dogs and a variety of wildlife visitors.
